Someone Like You
We enjoy the company and support of another in our daily lives. In two’s or more, we are naturally drawn to those who think like us. Our parents have wisely said,”Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are.”
Do our friends possess good qualities, are they well-liked, do they bring peace, comfort and joy to a gathering of people?
Our relationships and circumstances do not govern our lives, rather our personal choices do. Be an example of “love” and be drawn to someone like you.
Inspired by Luke 10:1-7
After this the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go. He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, bu the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Go on your way. See, I am sending you out like lambs into the midst of wolves. Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; and greet no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, “Peace to this house!” And if anyone is there who shares in peace, your peace will rest on that person; but if not, it will return to you. Remain in the same house, eating and drinking whatever they provide, for the laborer deserves to be paid.

Greater Things Than These
Greater Things Than These
Without delay we go to the side of loved ones to show love and support on special and life altering days of baptism, marriage and death. With this same intensity of care and compassion Jesus invites us to know His Father through Him. Live each day like you believe Jesus opened the gates of heaven. Your eyes will be opened to the powerful hand of God. Invite all you can to join you in this life changing and extraordinary journey. When you move closer in your relationship to Jesus you will see greater things than these.
Inspired by John 1:47-51.
When Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said of him, "Here is truly an Israelite in whom there is no deceit!" Nathanael asked him, "Where did you get to know me?" Jesus answered, "I saw you under the fig tree before Philip called you." Nathanael replied, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!" Jesus answered, "Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than these." And he said to him, "Very truly, I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man."

God Works Through Others
"Do not stop him; for whoever is not against you is for you."
Just because someone does not sit at your table, visit your home, or does not speak to you, does not mean someone could not do something in favor of you, your family or friends.
Do not denounce the good works of an outsider. Accept good deeds, wishes, thoughts, and favors wholeheartedly from even those who others may hold the least respect. God's work comes through a multitude or beings to help you.
Inspired by Luke 9:46-50
An argument arose among them as to which of them was the greatest. But Jesus, aware of their inner thoughts, took a little child and put it by his side, and said to them, "Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among all of you is the greatest." John answered, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not follow with us." But Jesus said to him, "Do not stop him; for whoever is not against you is for you."

Be The Light of Hope
Be The Light of Hope
"Please do not mention who I am. I wouldn't want to be treated differently." Whether we are affluent, well-liked, or a grave sinner, we should give and receive the same mercy that God gives us. Be imitators of Jesus' love by treating others with dignity, compassion and fairness not because of what they have done or what they have failed to do, but because they are human beings created by God. God can show His mercy to the gravest for all offenders. Your mercy may be the light of hope for the serverest wrongdoer.
Inspired by Luke 9:18-22
Once when Jesus was praying alone, with only the disciples near him, he asked them, "Who do the crowds say that I am?" They answered, "John the Baptist, Elijah; and still others, that one of the ancient prophets has arisen." He said to them, "but who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "The Messiah of God. He sternly ordered and commanded them not to tell anyone, saying, "The Son of Man must undergo great suffering, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised."

Your Life's Vocation
“Why would I want to spend time with him? I don’t even know him.”
Reach out and strive to make new connections and deepen existing relationships. Your physical job compensates you with a paycheck. However, your life’s vocation gives to your heart and to others what money can’t.
An admirable human being has an unyielding praiseworthy foundation. Spend time in prayer getting connected to the Holy Spirit inside you. It will lead, guide and strengthen you all the days of your life.
Inspired by Luke 9:7-9
Now Herod the ruler heard about all that had taken place, and he was perplexed, because it was said by some that John had been raised from the dead, by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the ancient prophets had arisen. Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this about whom I heard such things?” And he tried to see him.

All Are Welcomed In This Plaec
All Are Welcomed In This Place
“I didn’t feel welcomed there. So I left.” “Well we are glad you are here with us.”
If you don’t feel cared about, welcomed or respected then perhaps you do not belong. The burning question would be, “Are you uncomfortable because you are a negative person that works against God’s love or because those who reject you are hostile?”
Love all those who cross your path and let go of those who are imprisoned in thoughts of themselves. Your love and boldness of freedom may bring hope to another and may be an invitation to know what God is like.
Inspired by Luke 9:1-6.
Jesus called t he twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. He said to them, "Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money-not even an extra tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there, and leave from there. Wherever they do not welcome you, as you are leaving that town shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them." They departed and went through the villages, bringing the good news and curing diseases everywhere.

I just wanna celebrate!
I Just Wanna Celebrate!
"Your sister has done so well, let's celebrate!" "Why are you making such a big deal over her? She does one thing right and you rejoice. I have always been good and you've had no celebrations for me."
Jesus reaches out to sinners not the virtuous. Which are you? One who needs His mercy or the one who will celebrate over another's success?
Be happy and satisfied knowing that you have done well and help those in need of Jesus' mercy. Encourage others to join you in celebration when another has changed, tranformed or converted.
“I just wanna celebrate!” You need to know that I celebrate with you in your accomplishments today. Whether big or small, significant or not, my heart leaps with joy because you recognized a change for the better!
Inspired by Matthew 9:9-13
As Jesus was walking along he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth; and he said to him, "follow me." and he got up and followed him. As as he sat at dinner in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came and were sitting with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" But when he heard this, he said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, "I desire mercy, not sacrifice." For I have come to call not the righteous but sinners."
