Spontaneous Wisdom

"I know what I'm doing! I don't have to sleep on it!" "Can you give me until the end of the week? I need some time to mull it over."

Being spontaenous works for choosing a place to eat, to have a good laugh or to take off for a weekend. To make decisions that affect your family, finances and health takes serious contemplation, solemn relflection, and serene prayer; pray for the wisdom to know the difference.

The Scheme of Heavenly Things

"Don't tell me what's good for me! What do you know you're just a . . . " "I am so glad I listened to her. She knew what she was talking about."

Someone else's view may make you question your own. It is may be wise to reassess what price you are willing to pay, what charge you are willing to bring, what consequence you are set to bear if you stood firm. God's way is pure and virtuous. How does your approach rank the scheme of heavenly things?

Heaven Is More Appealing

Heaven is More Appealing

“I know I’m better than him. I haven’t done half the rotten things he has!” “There is no way I can judge him. I have my own things that I’ve asked God forgiveness for.”

Being cocky leads to trouble. Rather let us boast over a forgiving God. Living with Him or against Him, it’s our choice. Temptation seems alluring, but isn’t heaven more appealing?

Remove What Obscures Your Vision

Remove What Obscures Your Vision

“I haven’t got enough money and our economy stinks!” “I have the love of my family and friends. Even more God reveals himself to me when I help another, and most when I remain humble and grateful or over simple things.”
Inspired by Luke 12:54-56

Being caught up in events and material things of the world can put perilous blinders over your eyes. Remove what obscures your vision. Pray and seek God in the quiet and be selfless so that a genuine feeling of awe over God’s blessings can refreshingly dust your life with holiness.

Unexpected Blessings

Unexpected Blessings

“Of course I’m not ready. I’m always late!” “I’m ready. I’ve been expecting you.”

The way we prepare ourselves shows when we receive people, adapt to changes, and in our steps to reach dreams. Blessings come on an unexpected day, hour, or moment in our lives. Are you prepare and ready to receive yours?

The World Depends On Your Offerings

The World Depends On Your Offerings

“I know I know this! But I’m not prepared to do it in front of people!” “I have confidence in who I am, faith in what I believe, and have assurance in the knowledge I possess. Of course, I will do this for you.”

There are times we are caught off guard with seemingly no time for preparation. Work on being prepared spiritually, mentally and physically for these wonderful surprises. There is so much joy to be felt, hope to offer, and love to bestow on others. The future of the world depends on your offerings today.

Inspired by Luke 10:1-7

Serve Needs Greater Than Yours

Serve Needs Greater Than Yours

“Share with your brother!” “No! Grandma gave this to me!” “Thank you for sharing. There will be more for you when I receive my share.”

Much of the time there is more where that can from. Be willing to share your portion of blessings . There is always a need, perhaps greater than yours, that could be well served.

Inspired by Luke 12:13-21

Be Well Primed or Walk Away

“So what if its wrong. I’ll ask forgiveness tomorrow.” “It’s not right. I can’t do that in good conscience.”

Sometimes spontaneity in life is fun, adventurous and exciting! If you are not well primed, then in the midst of the thrill weigh its measure of decency, respectability and honor to God. Walk away from the crowd with confidence if in your heart you do not feel assured.

Inspired by Luke 11:29-32

Lead By Example

“That is cruel! I’m going to wash your mouth out with soap!” “I’m sorry that sounded harsh. Give me an opportunity to rephrase that. It was not my intent to be unkind.”

Washing the outside does not make clean the things that are within our thoughts, attitudes and actions. Teach your loved ones what it is to be kind, generous, and helpful. If you lead by example chances are some will follow suit.

Inspired by Luke 11:37-41

Good Returns Over and Over

“What is all this “give thanks to God” stuff. I did all the work.” “I believe God put people in my path to make these wonderful things happen. I am so happy I did my little part.”

To have a good harvest is one thing. But to have good returns over and over again comes from learning from the best! Make Jesus your top consultant. His specialty is what He puts in your heart. With Jesus on your team you can expect that your yield of life will come many times over.

Window Into Our Heart

“But he didn’t go to church today. Doesn’t that make him bad?!” “He may not have a way with words, but his heart is always in the right place.”

We are urged to not get hung up on technicalities, nit pick our methods, or the way we process through the course of our lives. What matters is that we give our best effort in all that we do. The difference we make in another’s life is a clearer window into our heart.

Be Confident In Who You Are

Be Confident In Who You Are

I don’t have to defend myself! I said I don’t want to talk about it!” “I’m happy that you asked. I took much into consideration. I believe I’ve made a decision that is right and just."

What we think in the privacy of our minds and homes will eventually slip out in our words, show in our attitudes and confirmed in our behavior. Be confident in who you are. Many around you may miss it, but God sees all.

Catch Someone Doing Something Right

Catch Someone Doing Something Right

“So what if he gave those people food to eat. He has no consideration for neighbors, his trees hang over the wall on to my property!” “Those things don’t bother me. What she does for others every day is what touches my heart."

We all have faults, however there’s good in everyone. Catch someone doing something right! Because you sought to notice someone’s kindness, honesty or decency, chances are good will continue to increase.

Stay Humble In Your Most Successful Days

It's because of what I'VE DONE that my life is awesome." "I am enjoying my success, it's truly a blessing from God. One day I may not have this anymore, but I know my future will still be bright.

Inspired by Luke 11:15-20

We have so much because of the graces and blessings from God. Stay humble, even in your most successful days, so that boasting will not destroy or inhibit your bright potential and future.

Forgive yourself and set a new goals when you mess up the eating plan, tank on the workout schedule, or blow the job interview. If we never made mistakes we might not seek more or realize our potential or growth. Welcome your learning curve. It's not necessarily the grade at the end that counts. Benefits and pleasure can be enjoyed during the course of the climb!
