I HAVE GREAT FAITH IN YOU

Lord, I have great faith in You,
I am not afraid,
You know what I need,
Your love for me is great.

Lord, I have great faith in You,
I receive your peace in my heart,
And cast my worries upon you,
No burdens do I carry on my back.

Lord, I have great faith in You,
I will move forward today with hope,
And Your unending love for me,
I believe in You and trust in your ways.

Amen.

Become like children! Oh you of great faith!

What do we say to a child that says, “I’m scared”. Our words of comfort are, “Don’t worry, you are going to be okay, trust me. I am here for you.” “They don’t like me”. “They will, they don’t know you like I know you. I love you and everyone will love you.”

That child leaves your presence comforted and confident. There is an automatic trust that comes with your words.

Children know you are in charge. They take you at your word and they respond with obedience and faith in you. Of course they do, you are their teacher, their spiritual guide, you love them beyond description and are the one they rely on most.

The purity of heart and the unconditional love of a child can teach us much. God asks you to do the same. He wants you to have an over-the-top faith in Him. Trust in Him when you feel scared. Let Him love you when others don’t. Allow yourself to experience his presence when you feel alone.

The bible says in Matthew 18:4 “Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.”

Let go of your troubles. Don’t worry, be happy. Let God hear you, “Yes Lord, I have great faith”. Say out loud, “all will be good”, especially when you can’t see the solution. While we often confuse our wants with needs, God knows what we need and when we need it! He is an on-time God. He will provide when we cannot help ourselves. Allow his mercy, glory and his miraculous powers to change your life.

Decide that you will be a person of great faith. Through the experience of the apostles, Jesus showed us how faith works”:

“And when Jesus got into the boat, his disciples followed him. A windstorm arose on the sea, so great that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him up, saying ‘Lord, save us! We are perishing!’ And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?”

When you feel like your life is falling apart, when you can’t see clear, when you feel fear rising, proclaim to the Lord,

I HAVE GREAT FAITH IN YOU

Lord, I have great faith in You,
I am not afraid,
You know what I need,
Your love for me is great.

Lord, I have great faith in You,
I receive your peace in my heart
And cast my worries upon you
No burdens do I carry on my back.

Lord, I have great faith in You,
I will move forward today with hope
And Your unending love for me
I believe in You and trust in your ways.

Amen.

TODAY IS MY DAY

Today is my day Lord, a new day
A perfect time for Your miracles.
I open up my heart
To you and your blessings.

Today is my day, I will take charge,
Take steps, take liberties
Where I have not before.

Today is my day I am filled
with Your Holy Spirit
And my heart bursts
with Your love for me.

Today is my day I have confidence
And believe You will not fail me!
You are my Lord of favor
And blessings.

Today is my day, Watch me Lord,
I step forward with confidence.
I leave fear where fear belongs,
To the unbelieving.

Thank you my God, I am
Blessed and my heart is
Filled with joy and excitement!

Today is my day, I will bask
in your glory and received the
blessings reserved for me!

Amen

Today Is My Day Prayer

Today Is My Day

The question is not “do you have faith”, but “will you act on your faith”?

Will you say, "Yes, I have faith! Yes, I believe in God! Yes, God wants the best for me!" Good, but this is even better. Instead say this, “Yes, Lord, let me show you what I believe!”

“I want a new job!” Re-do that resume, walk it in, put it on the internet, make that phone call. Do it! “I need a new church”. Today, find a new church that excites you. Go the next bible study, choose your time for Sunday mass or service and just do it! Stop complaining, and set things into motion so that God can move some mountains! You can do it, I believe in you!
What’s even better is that GOD BELIEVES IN YOU. He can do anything! ANYTHING! Will you receive it? Show him you want it! Takes steps of faith and show God you mean business.

Stand up, right now, and say,

“I believe in You Lord, I believe in myself. Only You Lord can move mountains for me. I receive your grace, oh Lord, right now, all that you have to give”.

Cut the rope people! Break the chain that holds you prisoner to your dreams! Undo that anchor that’s keeping you idle and stuck, it’s not deep, it’s just covered with a little sand!

Pray this prayer with me:

It's your day! Do your part and God will do the rest!

My Daily Prayer

My Daily Prayer

Dear Lord,

You showed me by example
How to love the unwanted
Help me today to be like you.

In faith I pray for your guidance
That I may touch lives
With kindness, respect and hope.

Lord bless me with compassion
And fill me with patience
To reach out to those in need.

I have a heart capable of compassion
A mind with intelligence to understand,
And Arms to embrace, love and comfort.

Allow my eyes to look beyond the surface
The wisdom to use the gifts You gave me
And an everlasting willingness to be like You.

Amen.
Self-renovation and relationship transformation!

Matthew 8:1-3 When Jesus had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him; and there was a leper who came to him and knelt before him saying, “Lord, if you choose, you can make me clean.” He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, I do choose. Be made clean!” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Praise the Lord! If a leper who was seen as a person full of sin can be made clean by Jesus then we can be made clean of any disease or bad habits! Hallelujah! Great news we can fight against disease, drugs, alcohol, cursing, using God’s name in vein, gossiping, belittling, complaining, selfishness, and even greed. Everyday we can make our list of imperfections shorter and shorter and be more pleasing to God.

Let’s go out today and not only begin on “self renovation”, but commence a “relationship transformation”. Take the time to talk to the one who seems full of themselves, conceited, hard faced, angry or lonely. It may be that they lack self confidence, are extremely shy, have been severely hurt or scarred from a past relationship. If you are shy, then decide to step up, go out of your comfort zone and begin to develop relationships. In small ways, everyday, we can make changes that will impact not only our own lives but that of others. Go on, go out today and love your neighbor as yourself!!!!

Let’s do our part and refuse to be anything less than beautiful people. Pray with me now this daily prayer:

Be a blessing to someone today!

This week in the Catholic Church the reading from Matthew 7:6 reads in part: “Do not give away what is holy to dogs; and do no throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under foot and turn and maul you.”

Sometimes when you try to befriend or help someone – whether it’s offering a solution to a problem, checking on their health, asking about their day – their response may not always be what you are expecting. Some responses may be harsh and seem uncalled for. Negative reactions may cause you to not want to help. Don’t let someone destroy your good spirit. You will quickly learn about those who will fight your kindness and those who will receive your encouragement and good intentions.

As in life, emotions are not black and white, there are gray areas too. Don’t give your all to someone who will attack negatively consistently. You are still capable of cultivating a great attitude of praise, forgiveness and giving even with those who seem to challenge you today. Decide on how best to spend your time when giving from the heart. Be careful to not give up hope on someone so easily, for you may be that person that touches them with one word, one thought, one hug, one smile.

Remember that we are for the most part products of our environment. Therefore, most of our responses are learned behavior. With persistence, grace, respect, love and understanding we can cause positive change. We can work together toward a holier way of living. We may not be able to conquer all, and we are certainly not perfect, but each day we have the opportunity and responsibility to exercise positive change, touch a human life with love, and help others through charitable acts.

Pope John Paul II addressed an International Congress on Care of the Dying, March 17, 1992, however, I think it can be applied to anytime in life, it reads as follows:

“Life is a gift from the Creator to be spent in the services of one’s brothers and sisters. It is to be accepted, respected, and promoted with every means available, and defended from every threat.”

Take time out today to be a blessing to someone, what you will receive in return will cause your heart to overflow with joy! Have a blessed day!
