Self-renovation and relationship transformation!

Matthew 8:1-3 When Jesus had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him; and there was a leper who came to him and knelt before him saying, “Lord, if you choose, you can make me clean.” He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, I do choose. Be made clean!” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Praise the Lord! If a leper who was seen as a person full of sin can be made clean by Jesus then we can be made clean of any disease or bad habits! Hallelujah! Great news we can fight against disease, drugs, alcohol, cursing, using God’s name in vein, gossiping, belittling, complaining, selfishness, and even greed. Everyday we can make our list of imperfections shorter and shorter and be more pleasing to God.

Let’s go out today and not only begin on “self renovation”, but commence a “relationship transformation”. Take the time to talk to the one who seems full of themselves, conceited, hard faced, angry or lonely. It may be that they lack self confidence, are extremely shy, have been severely hurt or scarred from a past relationship. If you are shy, then decide to step up, go out of your comfort zone and begin to develop relationships. In small ways, everyday, we can make changes that will impact not only our own lives but that of others. Go on, go out today and love your neighbor as yourself!!!!

Let’s do our part and refuse to be anything less than beautiful people. Pray with me now this daily prayer:

My Daily Prayer

Dear Lord,

You showed me by example
How to love the unwanted
Help me today to be like you.

In faith I pray for your guidance
That I may touch lives
With kindness, respect and hope.

Lord bless me with compassion
And fill me with patience
To reach out to those in need.

I have a heart capable of compassion
A mind with intelligence to understand,
And Arms to embrace, love and comfort.

Allow my eyes to look beyond the surface
The wisdom to use the gifts You gave me
And an everlasting willingness to be like You.

Amen.

Have a blessed day!!!
