Do I want guarantees or blessings?

“If you can’t give me any guarantees that it will work out then I won’t have any part of it!” “There’s something about this that gives me peace inside. Although it didn’t work out the way we planned, I’m still happy to have been part of it. Many blessings have come from this experience.”

Even when we give our best our triumphs are not always only realized when we win. Much can be learned, savored and celebrated in matters that have failed on their surface. God shows His great works in the flaws of our days. Be willing to step away from what is safe and really walk the walk.

Do I have eyes that see or deceive?

“I’m not blind! It’s your eyes that deceive you. You live in a fairy tale world!” “Not everybody sees what I see. I know without question that every day in the midst of the good and bad that I encounter, I am blessed and am happy to embrace love, peace and forgiveness.”

When we have different views, contrary values or opinions or when we don’t fight against evil we may seem too docile or mistakenly deemed to look as though we have a dark veil over our eyes. Backing up the underdog and meek and keeping a positive and forgiving attitude are traits of being proactive, optimistic, virtuous and upright. Every day we have an opportunity to let love win! Enjoy the day’s triumphs!

Thankful or Ungrateful

“Why should I thank him? It’s his job!” “I am very grateful that you took the time to help when you have so many others to attend to. Thank you.”

Great blessings seem to follow us when we remain humble, respectful, and thankful. Everyday Jesus offers us healing, hope and peace. Increase your faith so that your eyes may know a blessing when they see it!

Give your faith an eye examination so that your judgment will not be impaired. Spend quality time improving your foresight and forethought so that what your eyes see, what your mind thinks and what comes from your mouth may make good sense and prove wise.

Mindful or Mindless

“I’ve got too much going on to take time out to visit some lonely relative. Find someone else to do your charity work!”
“I know I’m busy, but I still try to make time for others. I can’t imagine what my life would be like if God thought he was too busy for me.”

Staying physically active is good for the body, mentally occupied beneficial for our well mental health, and spiritually alert and devoted for the sake of our blessed eternity. Set priorities that prepare you to stand before the Son of Man.

Thankful or Callous

I am thankful that she didn’t show up. She ruins everything!” “I am thankful that we could all be together. Our family is proof that nothing should divide us. May the love of God always be in your hearts.”

If we hold grudges, grudges will be held against us. If we know forgiveness, forgiveness will be what’s granted us. When we see a loved one who has been ill and near death we know from our faith what is to come. With our greatest faith on our faces and works of our hands and mouths let us show God we want what he offers us and are expecting new life and a place in His Kingdom.

Harmony or Friction

“I can’t do that! I wouldn’t know what to say!” “I know in my heart what needs to be said. The rights words will come.”

Our circumstances sometimes meet us feeling inadequate, unprepared or dumbfounded by surprise.

Compose a song in your heart that communicates love and passion. Be the human instrument that connects people in harmony. Train your ears and hands to offer an unmeasured song of assistance to individuals and families that need help. Be selfless so that your lively and uninhibited beat might comfort your neighbors who live with pain or troubles.

Your crescendos of faith, synchronized charismatic pattern in your words, and symphonic works of your hands are the song that makes God’s gifts to us come to life and leave us feeling skilled and able.

Making Time for Moments That Count

“I’ve got time. I’m in no rush to pay a visit.” “Time is precious. Let’s enjoy our time together.”

Time is of the essence in all things. Right place, time, mindset and attitude are essential in life changing matters of life. Thoughtfulness, forgiveness, righteous and virtuous in all matters of life is never wrong or late.

Am I restrained, kind or generous?

Am I restrained, kind or generous?

“Give you a dollar? Look guy, you might think about getting a job!” “I can’t take that. You were going to buy bread and milk for your family.”

How do we give when we are asked or see a need? How do we feel when we don’t have enough for our families?

It’s easy to give out of our abundance. It’s benevolent to give out of our rations. God knows out of what part of our heart we give, then He rewards us accordingly. Reach into the most generous part of your being and reap blessed rewards.

Am I open minded, crazy, ignorant or filled with God’s spirit?

Am I open minded, crazy, ignorant or filled with God’s spirit?

“You want me to believe in something I’ve never seen much less have had first-hand experience in. You’re as crazy as your mother!” “Your great faith has brought you this far. God is present among us. He will continue to bless us in this life and in Heaven.”
Living in the human realm causes us to be cynical, require proof of extraordinary reality, or reasoning that offers guarantees. God provides more that we can offer each other. Live seeking out what is beyond society’s limiting regulations, the mind’s disparaging rationale and selfish motivation that is crippling. God is of the living. Chose to live and immerse yourself in His goodness.

An Attitude Adjustment? Me?

An attitude adjustment? Me?

“How dare they tell me that my behavior was out of line! I can say and behave any way I want to!”

“Thank you all for keeping the spirit of this gathering openly solemn, filled with heartfelt prayer, and with the upmost earnest humility. I believe God is among us and will bless you.”

Selfish-conduct holds no divine rewards. Respectable behavior, a good moral attitude, and a virtuous spirit have no trouble finding a place to be among people. Practice your good morals, principles and values. We were meant to bring love and peace to each other.

When life doesn’t feel complete . . .

“I’m doing everything by the book, but I still feel like I’m missing something.”

“Everyday God leaves blessings on my doorstep. I wait each morning with great excitement and expectation! And I can’t wait to see, share, and celebrate.

Inspired by Luke 19:41-44

There are many blessed moments we have lost because of busyness, self-centeredness or laziness. God waits patiently for us to recognize Him in our lives. Take time to visit with the One who will bring complete fullness of life.

Do I give freely or with expectation?

“She kisses up to her by doing things for her all the time. I’m her daughter, I’ll get everything when she dies!”

“I want you to have this. You have done so much for me.”

The wise in faith and the one who holds riches of the heart knows who is genuine and will decide whom they wish to give gifts.

Nothing comes to those who give not. Little is received by who little is given. Abundance comes to those who are selfless. Live selflessly in faith, love and compassion and receive more in your heart and spirit than you ever imagined.

Why should I give you another chance?

Why should I give you another chance?

“She will never change! Why waste your time!” “Everyone deserves another chance to make things right. I believe in you. Let’s you and I try this again.”

Through ignorance, frustration and repetition we may develop spiteful tunnel vision. Incalculable times through our lives the Lord will forgive us our trespasses, mistakes and ignorance.

Rather than reject your most challenging situation, use it to transform you. Develop that part of your heart that knows mercy, kindness and forgiveness. Jesus came to save the lost. Will He find salvation in your house when he comes?

Does my attitude need tweaking?

Does my attitude need tweaking?

“Nothing ever goes right for me!” “God does not always give me what I want, He gives me what I need when I need it.”

Having faith keeps a flickering light burning and sees you through life’s mayhem, challenges and blunders. Today you will have many opportunities to put your faith to work and position your outlook in an upward direction.

Why should I go out of my way for you?

“You can ask until your blue in the face, and I still won’t help you!”

“I know you’ve asked before and I couldn’t help, but now I can. Let me do this for you.”

Praying to God for simple or impossible matters keeps hope and faith alive for the human race. Everyday God puts us all in positions to assist Him in answering pleas, cries, petitions and prayers. Will you be part of His granting justice or when Jesus comes will He pass on you?

Can I Be Satisified As I Am Today?

“Both our names were on the project. I deserve half that bonus! She did more work because she wanted to!” “He’s my brother, there’s no need for a lawsuit, give him Dad’s house. I am content without property, humbled without a heap of money, and my heart is filled with joy over the simple blessings I receive everyday from God.”

Being confident and having trust in God is sometimes not easy. We may be tempted to think that treasures of money, property or status might restore or elevate our lives, heal a broken spirit, or make living less problematic.

As you go through your journey be satisfied with where you are as you walk, make good on promises and forgive where you can, acknowledge and help strangers, and keep valued friendships in a constant state of repair. Our lives will end without notice, treasures will not matter, and there will be no time to go back and fix a single affair. God will take His chosen people, work to be among them.

My Spirit Is As It Should Be

My Spirit Is As It Should Be

“My life sucks! When will things turn around?” “My life may not be the way I planned it, but there is so much I thank God for everyday.”

We can get caught up in technicalities of heated conversations, wearisome relationships, frustrating job situations or less than scholar performances in school.

Look deeper than the human mechanics of the workings in your life for motivation.

God’s blessings are evident even when your strength has weakened, when your “will” has gone “wishy washy” and moral fiber is being challenged with a less than progressive day.

The world will keep churning at its own challenging pace. You, however, can choose to roll with a grateful and peaceful outlook that will keep your spirit intact.

Try harder? Why Should I?

Try harder? Why should I?

Sometimes unbeknownst to us we’re told we’ve given less in a relationship, slacked at our job, or our grades reveal we’ve given less in our studies.

Rather than stewing over the unwelcomed news of yesterday, we can continue today to give more in relationships, offer our unwavering best to our employer, and stay consistent in steady habits to our increase education.

At the end of the day it is the love we bring to a relationship, our best work ethic and time we invest in ourselves that will shine in the eyes of God.

As for the blind and sinister of the world, they will have to catch up or miss the great works and efforts of the acts of good people. What we do today helps us transition from the passage of this life to the next.

Why I Should Forgive?

Why should I forgive?

“’I’m sorry’ doesn’t work anymore. I’m done.” “Why do you keep forgiving him?” “Because the Lord keeps on forgiving me.”

Repetitive offenses may wear us down, may seem senseless and outright abusive. We may find that we must remove ourselves from a particular situation, dramatically change the course of our lives, or even wonder if we should re-examine our own ways. However, in the course of such scrutiny, offenses, aggravations and changes we must always forgive. Be on your guard, if you think you cannot forgive, then be prepared for the Lord to do the same unto you.

Find Optimism In Your Disappointments

“I’m scared. I feel so unsettled inside.” Or: “My life has changed dramatically, but I am at peace. I know it will all workout.”

Jesus got thru His dark Friday believing the best was yet to come. Find optimism in your disappointments, they will soon reveal God’s greatest triumphs for you!

Inspired by John 16:29-33.

Make Love Stick

“He loves me. He loves me not . . .” “Hearing the words ‘I love you’ warms my heart. But He shows me his love. For me, that’s enough.”

Actions speak louder than words. Enjoy doing for others expecting nothing in return. And when foolish mistakes slip through the cracks pour on the goo with a sincere heart. If love doesn’t stick, pour on some more!

Inspired by John 21:15-17

The Precious Things of Your Heart

“Wow, you’re a legend! What is fame like?” “Mommy, what is Heaven like?”

We will be tempted to idolize, drawn to praise, and even be sucked into glitz and glamour of the life of lumimaries. Will narrow vision cause you to pass on your blessings, inadvertently dismiss your graces, or intentionally discharge your mercies? God is interested in the precious things of your heart. Today what will you show Him?

Inspired by Luke 13:18-19

Stepping Stones To The Best Life

“I have to invite her. Otherwise, she may not invite me to her party.” “I want to thank my specials friends for being here. You humbly remind me that I don’t have to have my limbs, my eyes or even money to be a good friend. I love you.”

We exist in different shapes, sizes, economic backgrounds, status, and temperaments. What we do for the least of our brothers and sisters will be rewarded when we are long from this earth. Walk on the stepping stones that will lead you to your best life to come.

Inspired by Luke 14:12-14

The Tide Of Blessings

“This sucks. They should have given me a bonus too! I showed up at least one time!” “We wish to show our appreciation for those who went beyond the call of duty. Please step forward.”

Each day offers endless opportunities to be on the blessings side of life. When you give unselfishly from the heart the tide of blessings seem to keep coming to your shore.

Let It Be You

“Really, you’re going to make a big deal because she finally did something right. What about the times she screwed everything up!” “If I can help just one lost person, then all the effort I’ll ever put forth will be worth it.”

The lost, hurting, lonely, unwanted and sinners need someone to reach out them to set their path straight. Let it be you.

Inspired by Luke 15:1-10

I Have Repaid All And Then Some

I Have Repaid All And Then Some

“Although you were exposed of a wrongdoing, you still continued to deceive me!” “I will be honest, I did not do the right thing. But I have repaid all and then some.”

Rather than being caught with your hand in the cookie jar snatching what’s not yours, fill the jar with goodies and let others know they are there for their pleasure. Giving is a virtuous characteristic.

I'm Here To Do God's Will

“Make a decision, its me or her!” “I don’t believe I’m here to serve the nervy, audacious and forward wishes of others. Both of you can join me with peace in your heart or you can stay here and fight amongst yourselves. I’m here to do God’s will.”

Sometimes we are cornered into making decisions that seem to back us up against a wall. We shouldn’t be afraid to be rejected by each other in the face of a righteous decision. God’s will is always right. Do your best to stand up to pressure that doesn’t have goodness running through its veins, compassion on its limbs, and kindness in its heart.
