We Give, We Receive

Jesus explained a simple truth, “what we give, we will receive.” Kindness and pardon are built into our hearts. Together let us enjoy the gifts of God.

I said a prayer for you today and I know God must have heard,
I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word.

I didn’t ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn’t mind),
I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind.

I asked that He’d be near you at the start of each new day,
To grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way.

I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small,
But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Counting Our Blessings

We have all been blessed with many talents, capable bodies and minds to accomplish great things. We all possess a gift from God, a heart that is alive, and is being nourished by our attitudes, exercise and food. Take care of your special heart for it supports your body, the temple, insist on moving it to improve strength and body functions, and nourish your blood and veins with food that promotes optimal health. Listen to spirit filled music that is motivating, read inspirational books, and open the bible to obtain words to live by. The end result: A healthy mind and praiseworthy attitude. What a gift!

But when you give alms do not let your left hand know what your right is doing, so that your almsgiving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you. Matthew 6:1-4.
