Good Works Say It All

Good Works Say It All

Will it be: “I don’t care that he’s doing good, I don’t like his looks.” Or: “Look at what he’s done for people. He may not be popular but he is a gift from God.”

Be a good teacher, mentor and above all a faithful follower of Christ. Your good works will say more about you than your looks, social status or other’s opinions.

I said a prayer for you today and I know God must have heard,
I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word.

I didn’t ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn’t mind),
I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind.

I asked that He’d be near you at the start of each new day,
To grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way.

I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small,

Counting Our Blessings

We have all been blessed with many talents, capable bodies and minds to accomplish great things. We all possess a gift from God, a heart that is alive, and is being nourished by our attitudes, exercise and food. Take care of your special heart for it supports your body, the temple, insist on moving it to improve strength and body functions, and nourish your blood and veins with food that promotes optimal health. Listen to spirit filled music that is motivating, read inspirational books, and open the bible to obtain words to live by. The end result: A healthy mind and praiseworthy attitude. What a gift!

By your own good works you will bless others and your reward is greater than recognition. “[But] take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your heavenly Father. When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give alms do not let your left hand know what your right is doing, so that your almsgiving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you. Matthew 6:1-4.
