The Light Shines In You
Will it be: “You used to be compassionate and thoughtful. What hardened you?” Or: “People like being around you. I can’t help but feel like that too.”
Being a burning and shining lamp in a dim world is appealing to our spirit and is the message to us from the life of Christ. Let the light shine in you to illuminate your little corner of the world.
Inspired by John 5:31-36
Jesus said to the Jews, “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true. There is another who testifies on my behalf, and I know that his testimony to me is true. You send messengers to John, and he testified to the truth. Not that I accept such human testimony, but I say these things so that you may be saved. He was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light. But I have a testimony greater than John’s.”
