Give And Then Give More

Give And Then Give A Little More “Why in the world would you go into that profession if you feel you have no compassion for the sick?!” Perhaps the work we are currently engaged in is not what we’ve dreamed up for ourselves, but it is what we have chosen for now. Be polite to the person placing an order for food, patient to the one airing a complaint over a product that does work, compassionate toward the ill, an example to the young children you are caring for, helpful to your peers who need your help at school, and careful with valuables that others leave in your care. We may have many jobs, duties and unwelcoming situations that affect and test us over the course of our lives. Our job description is always the same: Offer the best you have to give and then give a little more. Mark 1:14-20 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news." As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea--for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, "Follow me and I will make you fish for people." And immediately they left their nets and followed him. As he went a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John, who were in their boat mending the nets. Immediately he called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, and followed him.
