My Soul Revealed What does your soul magnify? Are you curt, forceful or unforgiving? Are you kind, generous, faithful? Mary said to her cousin Elizabeth, “My soul magnifies the Lord.” Such a young girl filled with so much wisdom. Where will we get our wisdom? We all have access to the bible. We must read, learn and put into practice the ways of the Lord. We must, like Jesus, go to a quiet place, meditate, and pray. It is there in the silence that we will come to know God. When we feel confident there in quiet, we can take that confidence into the world and really live! Reveal to the world what a soul created by God should personify-holiness, compassion and love! Luke 1:39-42,46,53-56 In those days Mary set out and went with haste to a Judean town in the hill country, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed with a loud cry, ‘Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, according to the promise he made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants for ever.’
