Reveal Your Best Assets
Reveal Your Best Assets
When meeting a person or group for the first time it may be an eye opening test if others didn’t know what credentials we have earned or the status we hold. Our credentials, status in the workplace, position in the family unit, or experience may negatively hinder how others will respond to us, what they will do or how they will think.
It is always our hope that when we give our best selves at our first meeting we will continue with that same level of good qualities, manners and character. In return, we hope that others will respond to us just the same.
We all have a reputation that precedes us. The question is, can you and your presence in a room reveal your best self on your own without an introduction.
Jesus didn’t want His disciples to share with others about who He was. Jesus was waiting for others to meet Him and do what they will do.
Choose to reveal daily your best assets and share your wonderful gifts from God. The response by others may be rejection, acceptance or praise. Your actions, words and body language will reveal the relationship you have with Jesus. Let the world know where you stand. A first impression, rather than an introduction, may be the only opportunity you have to make a lasting connection.
Luke 9:18-22
Once when Jesus was praying alone, with only the disciples near him, he asked them, ‘Who do the crowds say that I am?’ They answered, ‘John the Baptist; but others, Elijah; and still others, that one of the ancient prophets has arisen.’ He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Peter answered, ‘The Messiah of God.’ He sternly ordered and commanded them not to tell anyone, saying, ‘The Son of Man must undergo great suffering, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.’
